Rick Morgenweck: CEO, Business Owner, Chief Executive Mentor

GroupChair Executive Coach Rick Morgenweck

Rick Morgenweck is a Business Leader, Investor, and Vistage Chairman.  His professional career has evolved over four phases.

First, as a third-generation military veteran, Rick served in the United States Coast Guard, with assignments in Florida, New York, and Hawaii. Focusing on Search & Rescue, Law Enforcement and Environmental Protection, he received many commendations for each.

Second, after earning a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, and an MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, Rick spent over 20 years as an international business leader working with some of the smartest people and best organizations (Koch Industries, Molex, Atkore, Tyco International) in the world.  As an executive leader with full P&L ownership of a $200M business segment.  Rick gained deep experience and insights into strategy & alignment, operations excellence, international supply chain, new product/process development, and organizational transformation.

Following his success as a hired gun in international mega-corporations, as a third act, Rick took his knowledge and leadership into a Venture role as one of five owners of a medical device manufacturing company.  During his ownership, Rick expanded the international manufacturing presence, optimized the project selection process, and implemented an operating system ensuring strategic alignment and traction.  At exit, this company was valued at $110 million.

Following this exit, in his fourth and current career phase, Rick is an active CEO, an investor, and advisor with a focus on midsized, privately held businesses.  As a passion project, Rick derives much satisfaction serving as a Chairman with Vistage Florida, working individually and collectively with a forum of CEOs and owners, each with businesses having between $5M-$200M in revenue.
